Gun legislation kills 10,000 in Washington, D.C.

The number of gun deaths in Washington and D.F. has been falling for the first time in almost three decades.

It’s the result of tighter gun laws, a federal database and new research that shows the majority of people killed by guns in the U.S. in 2016 were killed by domestic violence or domestic terrorism.
